In honor of my extraordinary friends 

 

Please tell me,

 

Would you walk with me, holding my hand as I face the challenges laying in my path? 
Would you search for me when I am lost in a pit of despair, pulling me back to reality?
Would you stand beside me, shoulder to shoulder, as the joys of life washed through my soul?
Would you sit with me, eyes intently focused, listening to the words pouring from my heart?
Would you lie with me on the verdant grass in an open field, sharing the wonder of a midnight blue sky with its bejeweled stars?
Would you reach for me in the blackest abyss helping me climb from the terror into illumination?
Would you hear my voice, accept my advice when every rational thought tells you, you do not want to listen?
Would you answer the phone when I needed you, knowing in your heart you may be tired or you may not have the solution?
Would you hold me tight in the circle of your arms when I experience the loss of a loved one?
Would you feel compassion and understanding when I stumbled, fell on my hands and knees in humiliation, because I made the same mistake again?
Would you have a cup of coffee with me, simply to chat, spend time with a woman who loves you as much as you love her.

A simple reminder, from the moment you came into my heart, gave me the emotional support I needed, an incredible friendship formed.
An extraordinary relationship significantly affecting who I am today, how I see the universe and the feelings I have experienced.
I am a better woman today because you love me.

    (in honor of the many extraordinary women in my life, every single one of them)

    When you are sad, I promise I will jump in and immediately provide you with my best impression of Eeyore, trying to cope with life on life’s terms.

    When you are feeling blue, I will sing your favorite song to cheer you up - just slightly off key, of course.

    When you smile, that brilliant smile, I can’t even begin to appreciate the devious plan you have developed, I just want to be involved in it.

    When you're scared, I’ll be scared with you, so we’ll grab each other’s hand and run like mad in the other direction.

    When you are worried, I will remind you of the wonderful miracles you have seen in your life - and you are a miracle in mine.

    When you are confused, I will look directly in your eyes and explain in words you can hear.

    When you are sick, I will hold you until you are completely healed.

    When you fall, I'll pick you up, dust you off, and envelop you in a great big hug.

    So Please Remember,  Joy comes from walking the path of spirituality one day at a time and one step at a time, and I Want to Be with You the Whole Way.
